"Your outer world is a reflection of your inner world."
It seems that most people who are concerned about their external appearance focus on external solutions. However, thinking holistically, the external body is a direct reflection of your internal health.
In regards to the physical body, the digestive system can be viewed as the internal skin which again serves to protect us from pathogens, absorb nutrients and filter out toxins. If you truly value your health it would be wise to make sure you ingest food that will promote and maintain a healthy gut. (check out this video about the human microbiome.)
Food products that are not serving your health needs to thrive and be vital could possibly damage your internal digestive tract. Impairment of this system will reduce the ability to adequately absorb nutrients and lessen the filtering capabilities to release toxins. As a result, someone may develop allergies, food intolerance, and chronic fatigue simply because of the wrong food choices along with chronic stress.
Lastly, the notion of your outer world being a reflection of the inner, also applies to our mental and emotional health. If negative emotions like worry, anxiety and depression have the ability to impair our health physically then why not think about the power of the alternative? Positive emotions such as happiness, gratitude and love are shown in scientific literature and spirituality to heal and increase the quality and longevity of ones life.
I know this information is nothing new but my hope is that it served as a gentle reminder to inspire you to make a change for the better. .
